Sometimes all you need is a new approach

We take an in-depth approach that goes beyond the traditional purview of primary care. Our goal is to address the root cause of why you feel the way you do, and develop a personalized comprehensive life map to help guide you throughout every step of your health journey.

What is Functional Medicine?

Functional Medicine looks not at the what, but the why. It is a science-based approach to health care that treats the individual, not just a disease. By addressing the root cause, we activate natural healing abilities of the body, and identify the underlying cause of a problem.

What we now call Alternative (Functional Medicine) is not just an optional complement to Western Medicine. These traditions are as old as humanity itself. The way to stay healthy is by taking care of body, mind and spirit in every way that’s under our control. That is the goal of Functional Medicine.

  • Detox remove_circle_outline

Our monthly toxic exposure is equal to the toxic burden experienced by someone who lived two generation ago. Our daily lives need detoxifying pathways in place to keep us from the damaging effects of the toxins we are exposed to daily.

  • Sleep remove_circle_outline

According to the National Sleep Foundation, adults typically need between seven and nine hours of sleep per night in order to function at their best. Getting a few less hours for even a few nights in a row can have the  same effect as staying awake for 24 hours straight.

  • Diet remove_circle_outline

Health and energy require good nutrition.  Ensuring you have a healthy diet is important for healing from disease, illness and is imperative in keeping all the systems in the body working well.  Since we all eat differently and have different genes and environments, our diets need to be personalized for our individual needs.

  • Exercise remove_circle_outline

“Lack of activity destroys the good condition of every human being, while movement and methodical physical exercise save it and preserve it.” Plato – Being consistently active helps you to live longer, have a better quality of life, improve your mental health, and improve your self-image.

  • Stress remove_circle_outline

Managing stress is important. Having a chronic disease is stressful, not only emotionally, but physically. Finding ways to help your body get rid of stress is important for healing.
